About LG System Inc

LG System Inc is an Incorporated Association in SA formed in 1995 for the purpose of owning, developing and managing Local Government Software. Authorities joining forces to take control of their IT directions.

Membership

As at December 2015 there are 9  SA members.

What we have learned along the way

There is no need for complex Escrow Agreements. Under our Open Source Agreement the intellectual property is available to members for the purposes of security or branching.
Software is improved under this model and profits are returned to the development cycle.

Medium term Plan

Consolidation of .NET installations for existing members. Completion of new modules required but not vital to initial uptake. New members joining. Complete developments to assist work flows required in Local Government not always related to core financial modules: including interfaces to Grants Commission and ABS.

Current Plan

Core financial Modules are complete!  Continue with Agile development approach to complete the group’s development priorities.
